Audi Fuel Drain

ABOUT

Filling Diesel in a Petrol Audi is a very common problem. And its solution depends upon an assortment of factors. If perhaps you want to find out what to do about it then keep on reading.
Listed here the most important variables to consider when choosing whether or not to have your car drained:

  1. What amount of Diesel did you put in the Audi, keeping in mind that the fuel capacity of your Audi A6 Quattro is in most cases around 80 litres?
    1. A small quantity of Diesel, something like 4 litres of Diesel in a Petrol A6 Quattro will most of the time not really be a massive problem. Experience has proven to us that an amount less than 4 litres (approximately 5% of the fuel tank) is quite often able to be completely diluted by thoroughly topping the tank with the correct fuel.
It's highly uncommon to come across a car experiencing problems with less than 5% wrong fuel contamination. Bear in mind that it is unusual - certainly not impossible to encounter. You will discover some cars that will not endure any quantity of contamination whatsoever.
    2. Anywhere between 4 and 8 litres of Diesel in the Audi (5 to 10%) is more of a 50/50 condition. Our working experience has confirmed that as many drivers get away with this as those people who don't. Any time you're deciding upon whether to risk it and just simply fill it up consider that it is the same as gambling your car on black - you will have a 50/50 possibility of it being ok.
    3. Anything in excess of 8 litres of Diesel in a Petrol A6 Quattro should really right away be removed since your probability of succeeding with that level of contamination is in all likelihood less than one in 50 - really big odds.
  2. Put Diesel in a Petrol Audi and drove it: Have you noticed any performance difficulties after putting the bad fuel in the A6 Quattro? In that case, have it emptied irrespective of the amount of Diesel or the contamination percentage. Proceeding to drive running a car that is now beginning to suffer from the effects of fuel contamination will probably typically result in even more harm affecting the fuel system components.
  3. Do you want security?
Then simply just get it drained. Whatever the contamination percentage, there is always some extent of risk resulting from operating a Petrol vehicle on fuel contaminated with Diesel. Possible implications of driving a vehicle on the wrong fuel can include the motor not starting, running lumpy, decrease in power, wearing of the high-pressure pump, damaged or bunged injectors, etc. These are several of the most common Diesel in Petrol symptoms, and if you recognise any of them then stop and get it removed asap.
