Audi Fuel Drain

ABOUT

Putting Diesel in a Petrol Audi is a usual mistake to make. And its solution is dependent upon various things. If you want to find out what it is best to do to fix it then keep on reading.
These are the most crucial variables to to consider whenever figuring out whether to get a fuel drain:

  1. What amount of Diesel have you put in the Audi, bearing in mind that the fuel capacity of the Audi RS4 is most likely about 66 litres?
    1. A tiny amount of Diesel, something like 3.3 litres of Diesel in a Petrol RS4 will most of the time not really be a huge problem. Experience has shown us that quantities under 3.3 litres (which is almost 5% of the fuel tank volume) is oftentimes capable of being adequately diluted through entirely topping the remainder of the tank with the right fuel.
It's very unusual to find a car or truck having difficulties with below 5% incorrect fuel contamination. Keep in mind it is unusual - in no way impossible to encounter. There are some vehicles that don't stand any degree of fuel contamination at all.
    2. Between 3.3 and 6.6 litres of Diesel in the Audi (5 to 10%) is a 50/50 situation. Our expertise has revealed that as many drivers get away with it as those who don't. Any time you are trying to decide whether to risk it and just simply fill it up remember that it is very much like gambling all of it on black - you have a 50/50 possibility of it working.
    3. Anything more than 6.6 litres of Diesel in your Petrol RS4 should immediately be removed seeing as your likelihood of getting away with that quantity of contamination is in all likelihood less than one in 50 - truly long odds.
  2. Put some Diesel in a Petrol Audi and drove it: Have you detected any performance concerns after putting the incorrect fuel in your RS4? If so, get it drained irrespective of the amount of Diesel or the contamination ratio. Continuing to run driving a motor vehicle that is now starting to suffer from the consequences of wrong fuel contamination can just bring about more and more damage affecting your fuel system parts.
  3. Are you interested in security?
In that case get it emptied. Regardless of contamination percentage, there is invariably a certain level of risk connected to running a Petrol vehicle on fuel contaminated with the incorrect fuel. Possible consequences of driving a vehicle on the wrong fuel can include the engine not starting, running lumpy, lack of power, degradation of the high-pressure pump, worn out or clogged injectors, and so on. These are some of the commonest Diesel in Petrol symptoms, and should you detect any of them stop driving and get it removed immediately.
