Audi Fuel Drain

ABOUT

Filling up with Diesel in a Petrol Audi is a common mistake. And what you need to do about it is determined by a number of things. If you want to know what it is best to do about it then keep reading.
These are the main factors to to consider whenever figuring out whether to get it drained:

  1. Exactly how much Diesel did you put in to the Audi, considering that the fuel capacity of your Audi RS5 is most likely roughly 61 litres?
    1. A small quantity of Diesel, as little as 3.05 litres of Diesel in a Petrol RS5 will typically not really be a massive problem. Experience has proven to us that quantities under 3.05 litres (roughly 5% of the total fuel tank capacity) is frequently able to be sufficiently diluted by means of completely topping the remainder of the tank with the correct fuel.
It is very unusual to find a car or truck suffering from issues due to lower than 5% wrong fuel contamination. Remember that it is infrequent - in no way impossible to find. There are actually certain motor vehicles that will not stand any amount of fuel contamination whatsoever.
    2. Between 3.05 and 6.1 litres of Diesel in the Audi (5 to 10%) is more of a 50/50 situation. Our practical experience has shown that as many motorists get away with this as those who don't. Whenever deciding whether or not to chance it and just simply fill it up consider that it is exactly like wagering it all on black - you will have a 50/50 chance of it working out.
    3. Anything above 6.1 litres of Diesel in your Petrol RS5 should straight away be drained because your likelihood of succeeding with this amount of contamination is in all likelihood lower than one in fifty - genuinely long odds.
  2. Put Diesel in a Petrol Audi and drove it: Have you detected any performance problems ever since putting the wrong fuel in the RS5? If that's the case, get it drained irrespective of the volume of Diesel or even the contamination percentage. Still driving a vehicle that is starting to suffer from the effects of wrong fuel contamination will probably typically be responsible for more harm being caused to your fuel system.
  3. Are you interested in security?
Simply get it removed. Regardless of the contamination ratio, there is invariably some amount of threat connected to driving a Petrol engine on fuel contaminated with the wrong fuel. Likely results of driving on the wrong fuel can include the motor refusing to start, running unevenly, decrease in power, degradation of the high-pressure pump, damaged or bunged injectors, and so forth. These are several of the most common Diesel in Petrol warning signs, and should you observe any of them cease driving and get it removed right now.

Stay away from having any untrained so-and-so to attend your car. We are Audi experts and possess the accreditation and knowledge necessary to make certain you are back on the road with a minimum of hassle or worry.
