Fiat Fuel Drain

ABOUT

Putting Diesel in a Petrol Fiat is a regular problem. And what you have to do about it will depend on several different things. If you want to know what you need to do to sort it out then continue reading.
Listed below are the most important variables to take into consideration when determining whether or not to have a fuel drain:

  1. How much Diesel have you put into the Fiat, bearing in mind that the fuel capacity of your Fiat Marea Weekend is usually approximately 63 litres?
    1. A small quantity of Diesel, something like 3.15 litres of Diesel in a Petrol Marea Weekend will typically not necessarily be a major problem. Experience has proven to us that quantities less than 3.15 litres (which is almost 5% of the overall fuel tank capacity) is sometimes able to be sufficiently diluted by totally topping up the tank with Petrol.
It's pretty unusual to come across an automobile having issues due to less than 5% wrong fuel contamination. Remember that it is very infrequently found - definitely not impossible to find. There are a number of vehicles that don't endure any quantity of fuel contamination in the slightest.
    2. Somewhere between 3.15 and 6.3 litres of Diesel in the Fiat (5 to 10%) is more of a 50/50 situation. Our expertise has revealed that as many motorists get away with it as those who break down. Whenever figuring out whether or not to risk it and just simply fill it up remember that it is the same as wagering everything on black - you will have a 50/50 chance of it working out.
    3. Anything above 6.3 litres of Diesel in a Petrol Marea Weekend should as soon as possible be drained because your probability of succeeding with that level of contamination is certainly lower than one in 50 - genuinely long odds.
  2. Put Diesel in a Petrol Fiat and drove it: Have you noticed any kind of performance troubles as a result of putting the incorrect fuel in your Marea Weekend? If so, have it emptied regardless of the quantity of Diesel or the contamination percentage. Still running a car that is now beginning to suffer from the consequences of wrong fuel contamination will probably typically bring about more and more damage being done to the fuel system components.
  3. Do you need security?
You should get it drained. Whatever the contamination percentage, there is inevitably some extent of threat associated with running a Petrol motor on fuel contaminated with the wrong fuel. Probable results of driving on the wrong fuel normally include the engine refusing to start, running unevenly, lack of power, wearing of the high-pressure pump, worn out or blocked injectors, and the like. These are some of the commonest Diesel in Petrol symptoms, and should you recognise any of them then stop and have it drained immediately.
