Kia Fuel Drain

ABOUT

Filling up with Diesel in a Petrol Kia is a regular mistake. And what you have to do about it is based on a variety of factors. Assuming you would like to know what you need to do about it then please read on.
Right here are the most important factors to take into consideration whenever determining whether or not to have a fuel drain:

  1. What level of Diesel have you put in the Kia, considering that the fuel tank capacity of your Kia Pride is in most cases around 37 litres?
    1. A modest quantity of Diesel, as little as 1.85 litres of Diesel in a Petrol Pride will generally not really be a massive problem. Experience has taught us that quantities less than 1.85 litres (which is roughly 5% of the entire fuel tank) is oftentimes able to be adequately diluted through totally filling up the tank with the correct fuel.
It's quite unusual to find a car suffering from difficulties with below 5% incorrect fuel contamination. Remember that it is unusual - certainly not impossible to find. There are a few automobiles that will not stand any amount of fuel contamination whatsoever.
    2. In between 1.85 and 3.7 litres of Diesel in the Kia (5 to 10%) is a 50/50 scenario. Our expertise demonstrates that as many drivers get away with it as those who break down. Any time you're trying to decide whether to chance it and basically top it up remember that it is exactly like gambling everything on black - you have a 50/50 possibility of it being ok.
    3. Anything over 3.7 litres of Diesel in your Petrol Pride must straightaway be drained as your likelihood of driving with that amount of contamination is more than likely less than one in 50 - seriously big odds.
  2. Put some Diesel in a Petrol Kia and drove it: Have you spotted any performance difficulties ever since putting the bad fuel in the Pride? If so, get it removed irrespective of the quantity of Diesel or the contamination ratio. Continuing to drive driving a motor vehicle that is already starting to suffer from the effect of wrong fuel contamination can likely result in progressively more damage affecting the fuel system parts.
  3. Do you need reassurance?
In that case get it removed. No matter the contamination ratio, there is always some degree of risk linked with driving a Petrol vehicle on fuel contaminated with the incorrect fuel. Possible final outcomes of driving a vehicle on the incorrect fuel include things like the engine not starting, running unevenly, losing power, wearing of the high-pressure pump, damaged or clogged injectors, and so forth. These are a few of the commonest Diesel in Petrol signs and symptoms, and if you recognise any of them stop and get it removed right now.

Do not simply get any general so-and-so to attend your vehicle. We are Kia experts and have got the credentials and experience required to make certain you are back on the road with little hassle or trouble.
