Mercedes Fuel Drain

ABOUT

Filling up with Diesel in a Petrol Mercedes is a common problem. And what you need to do about it varies according to several different things. Assuming you would like to know what you need to do about this then read on.
Listed below are the main variables to take into account when deciding whether or not to get your car drained:

  1. What amount of Diesel have you put in the Mercedes, keeping in mind that the fuel tank capacity of your Mercedes C63 AMG is probably approximately 66 litres?
    1. A tiny quantity of Diesel, less than 3.3 litres of Diesel in a Petrol C63 AMG will in most situations not really be a big problem. Experience has demonstrated to us that an amount under 3.3 litres (about 5% of the overall fuel tank) is frequently capable of being adequately diluted through entirely topping the rest of the tank with Petrol.
It's pretty unusual to encounter a car or truck having problems with less than 5% wrong fuel contamination. Remember that it is uncommon - definitely not impossible to find. There are actually a number of motor vehicles that don't endure any level of contamination whatsoever.
    2. Anywhere between 3.3 and 6.6 litres of Diesel in the Mercedes (5 to 10%) is a 50/50 scenario. Our working experience has revealed that as many people get away with this as those people who don't. Whenever deciding upon whether to risk it and just top it up remember that it is the same thing as betting all of it on black - you have a 50/50 chance of it working out.
    3. Anything more than 6.6 litres of Diesel in a Petrol C63 AMG should immediately be removed since your likelihood of succeeding with that level of contamination is undoubtedly less than one in fifty - seriously long odds.
  2. Put some Diesel in a Petrol Mercedes and drove it: Have you noticed any performance issues since putting the wrong fuel in the C63 AMG? If you have, get it drained irrespective of the volume of Diesel or the contamination percentage. Proceeding to drive driving an automobile that is beginning to suffer the consequences of wrong fuel contamination can typically result in more and more damage affecting your fuel system parts.
  3. Do you need peace of mind?
Then simply just get it drained. Whatever the contamination ratio, there is always some amount of threat connected with operating a Petrol motor on fuel contaminated with Diesel. Probable results of driving a car on the incorrect fuel can include the motor refusing to start, running unevenly, lack of power, wearing of the high-pressure pump, damaged or clogged injectors, and so forth. These are some of the most common Diesel in Petrol warning signs, and in the event that you observe any of them stop driving and have it removed as soon as possible.
