Mercedes Fuel Drain

ABOUT

Filling Diesel in a Petrol Mercedes is a usual mistake. And exactly what you want to do about it is dependent upon several things. In case you would like to find out what you have to do to fix it then please read on.
These are the most crucial factors to to consider whenever deciding whether to have a fuel drain:

  1. What amount of Diesel have you put in to the Mercedes, taking into account that the fuel capacity of your Mercedes CLC 350 is usually about 62 litres?
    1. A modest quantity of Diesel, something like 3.1 litres of Diesel in a Petrol CLC 350 will generally not be a big problem. Experience has proven to us that an amount under 3.1 litres (approximately 5% of the entire fuel tank) is in many instances capable of being completely diluted by entirely filling the remainder of the tank with Petrol.
It's relatively uncommon to encounter a car or truck experiencing issues with under 5% incorrect fuel contamination. Keep in mind it is very infrequent - certainly not impossible to find. There are actually a number of motor vehicles that don't endure any amount of contamination at all.
    2. Between 3.1 and 6.2 litres of Diesel in the Mercedes (from 5 to 10%) is a 50/50 situation. Our experience has confirmed that as many drivers get away with this as those who break down. Whenever deciding upon whether or not to chance it and basically fill it up consider that it is very much like wagering all of it on black - you have got a 50/50 chance of it working out.
    3. Anything over 6.2 litres of Diesel in a Petrol CLC 350 must promptly be drained out seeing as your likelihood of driving with that amount of contamination is more than likely less than one in 50 - seriously huge odds.
  2. Put some Diesel in a Petrol Mercedes and drove it: Have you noticed any performance difficulties since putting the wrong fuel in the CLC 350? If so, have it drained regardless of the volume of Diesel or even the contamination percentage. Continuing to run driving a car that is currently beginning to suffer the consequences of wrong fuel contamination will probably likely cause more and more harm being done to the fuel system components.
  3. Do you need peace of mind?
You should get it removed. No matter the contamination ratio, there is always some extent of threat connected with running a Petrol engine on Petrol contaminated with the wrong fuel. Likely results of driving on the wrong fuel include the engine refusing to start, running unevenly, reduced power, degradation of the high-pressure pump, damaged or blocked injectors, and the like. These are a few of the most typical Diesel in Petrol signs and symptoms, and if you notice any of them stop and get it removed right now.
