Mercedes Fuel Drain

ABOUT

Filling Diesel in a Petrol Mercedes is a fairly typical problem. And its solution is based on a number of things. Assuming you would like to know what you should do to fix it then continue reading.
Right here are the key factors to to consider when deciding whether or not to get it drained:

  1. Exactly how much Diesel have you put into the Mercedes, taking into account that the fuel capacity of the Mercedes CLS 350 is in most cases around 80 litres?
    1. A modest amount of Diesel, something like 4 litres of Diesel in a Petrol CLS 350 will in most situations not really be a big problem. Experience has proven to us that quantities under 4 litres (which is 5% of the overall fuel tank) is often able to be adequately diluted through entirely topping up the tank with Petrol.
It is pretty rare to come across a car or truck suffering from problems because of lower than 5% incorrect fuel contamination. Please remember it is very rare - in no way impossible to find. There are actually certain vehicles that won't endure any quantity of fuel contamination at all.
    2. Anywhere between 4 and 8 litres of Diesel in the Mercedes (5 to 10%) is really a 50/50 situation. Our experience has proven that as many people get away with it as those who don't. Whenever you are deciding on whether or not to chance it and simply fill it up remember that it is much like gambling everything on black - you have a 50/50 chance of it working.
    3. Anything in excess of 8 litres of Diesel in a Petrol CLS 350 should right away be removed since your probability of succeeding with this quantity of contamination is almost certainly lower than one in fifty - truly long odds.
  2. Put some Diesel in a Petrol Mercedes and drove it: Have you detected any kind of performance concerns as a result of putting the bad fuel in your CLS 350? If so, have it emptied no matter the quantity of Diesel or the contamination percentage. Continuing to drive running an automobile that is starting to suffer from the effect of wrong fuel contamination will just lead to more and more harm affecting your fuel system.
  3. Would you like assurance?
You should get it drained. Regardless of the contamination ratio, there is inevitably some degree of danger resulting from driving a Petrol vehicle on Petrol contaminated with the wrong fuel. Probable results of driving on the wrong fuel normally include the motor not starting, running lumpy, decrease in power, wearing of the high-pressure pump, damaged or blocked injectors, and so forth. These are several of the most common Diesel in Petrol warning signs, and should you recognise any of them stop and have it drained right away.

Don't simply get any unqualified so-and-so to try to fix your automobile. We are Mercedes experts and possess the qualifications and knowledge required to ensure you are back on the road with a minimum of hassle or trouble.
