Mercedes Fuel Drain

ABOUT

Filling Diesel in a Petrol Mercedes is a common error. And its remedy depends on several factors. If you want to know what you must do about this then keep on reading.
Here are the most important factors to think about whenever deciding whether to have a fuel drain:

  1. What level of Diesel did you put into the Mercedes, taking into account that the fuel capacity of your Mercedes S55 AMG is probably roughly 88 litres?
    1. Hardly any Diesel, less than 4.4 litres of Diesel in a Petrol S55 AMG will in most situations not be a big problem. Experience has taught us that quantities less than 4.4 litres (which is about 5% of the entire fuel tank capacity) is sometimes capable of being completely diluted simply by entirely filling the rest of the tank with the correct fuel.
It's quite unusual to find an automobile suffering from problems with below 5% incorrect fuel contamination. Be aware that it is very infrequent - in no way impossible to encounter. You will discover a few vehicles that won't stand any degree of contamination at all.
    2. Between 4.4 and 8.8 litres of Diesel in the Mercedes (5 to 10%) is really a 50/50 situation. Our experience has revealed that as many drivers get away with this as those who break down. Any time you're deciding whether to risk it and just simply top it up bear in mind that it is the same as wagering your car on black - you have a 50/50 chance of it working out.
    3. Anything more than 8.8 litres of Diesel in a Petrol S55 AMG should really as soon as possible be removed since your likelihood of driving with that level of contamination is undoubtedly less than one in 50 - definitely big odds.
  2. Put some Diesel in a Petrol Mercedes and drove it: Have you detected any kind of performance difficulties as a result of putting the incorrect fuel in your S55 AMG? If you have, have it drained no matter the quantity of Diesel or even the contamination ratio. Proceeding to drive driving an automobile that is already beginning to suffer from the effects of wrong fuel contamination can only lead to more harm being caused to the fuel system parts.
  3. Are you interested in assurance?
Then get it removed. No matter the contamination percentage, there is inevitably some extent of threat resulting from driving a Petrol motor on Petrol contaminated with Diesel. Likely final outcomes of driving a vehicle on the wrong fuel normally include the motor not starting, running unevenly, decrease in power, wearing of the high-pressure pump, damaged or clogged injectors, and the like. These are some of the most frequently seen Diesel in Petrol signs or symptoms, and in the event that you detect any of them stop driving and get it removed asap.
