Porsche Fuel Drain

ABOUT

Putting Diesel in a Petrol Porsche is a regular mistake. And its solution is dependent upon a variety of things. If you would like to find out what it is advisable to do about this then read on.
These are the main variables to take into consideration when deciding on whether or not to have your car drained:

  1. How much Diesel have you put into the Porsche, bearing in mind that the fuel tank capacity of your Porsche Panamera is probably approximately 80 litres?
    1. Hardly any Diesel, as little as 4 litres of Diesel in a Petrol Panamera will in most situations not necessarily be a massive problem. Experience has demonstrated to us that an amount less than 4 litres (which is roughly 5% of the entire fuel tank capacity) is often capable of being adequately diluted by wholly topping up the rest of the tank with the correct fuel.
It's highly uncommon to come across a motor vehicle going through difficulties due to below 5% incorrect fuel contamination. Remember that it is very unusual - definitely not impossible to find. You can get some automobiles that don't endure any quantity of fuel contamination at all.
    2. Anywhere between 4 and 8 litres of Diesel in the Porsche (from 5 to 10%) is really a 50/50 scenario. Our practical experience has proven that as many people get away with it as those people who don't. Any time you are deciding upon whether or not to risk it and just simply top it up recognise that it is the same thing as wagering all of it on black - you will have a 50/50 chance of it being ok.
    3. Anything more than 8 litres of Diesel in a Petrol Panamera ought to immediately be removed seeing as your likelihood of driving with this level of contamination is probably lower than one in fifty - genuinely long odds.
  2. Put Diesel in a Petrol Porsche and drove it: Have you seen any kind of performance concerns as a result of putting the incorrect fuel in your Panamera? In that case, get it drained regardless of the quantity of Diesel or the contamination percentage. Still driving a motor vehicle that is currently beginning to suffer the effect of wrong fuel contamination can just be responsible for more and more harm affecting your fuel system.
  3. Are you looking for security?
In that case get it removed. Whatever the contamination percentage, there is always a certain level of risk connected to running a Petrol vehicle on fuel contaminated with the wrong fuel. Likely implications of driving on the incorrect fuel normally include the motor refusing to start, running unevenly, losing power, wearing of the high-pressure pump, damaged or blocked injectors, and so forth. These are several of the most typical Diesel in Petrol symptoms, and in the event that you detect any of them then stop driving and get it drained right now.
