Suzuki Fuel Drain

ABOUT

Filling up with Diesel in a Petrol Suzuki is a very common mistake to make. And its solution depends on various factors. If perhaps you would like to find out what you must do about it then stay with me.
Let us discuss the main factors to to consider whenever figuring out whether to get a fuel drain:

  1. What level of Diesel did you put in to the Suzuki, bearing in mind that the fuel tank capacity of the Suzuki Wagon is usually around 42 litres?
    1. A tiny quantity of Diesel, as little as 2.1 litres of Diesel in a Petrol Wagon will in most situations not necessarily be a huge problem. Experience has shown us that anything under 2.1 litres (which is close to 5% of the total fuel tank) is often capable of being sufficiently diluted by means of totally topping the rest of the tank with Petrol.
It is relatively unusual to come across a motor vehicle having difficulties because of less than 5% incorrect fuel contamination. Do not forget that it is uncommon - definitely not impossible to encounter. You will discover certain cars that don't stand any degree of fuel contamination at all.
    2. Somewhere between 2.1 and 4.2 litres of Diesel in the Suzuki (from 5 to 10%) is more of a 50/50 condition. Our experience has revealed that as many drivers get away with it as those who break down. Whenever figuring out whether to chance it and just fill it up recognise that it is exactly like gambling it all on black - you have a 50/50 possibility of it working out.
    3. Anything above 4.2 litres of Diesel in a Petrol Wagon must promptly be drained out because your probability of driving with that amount of contamination is very likely less than one in 50 - seriously big odds.
  2. Put Diesel in a Petrol Suzuki and drove it: Have you observed any performance concerns after putting the bad fuel in the Wagon? If so, have it removed regardless of the amount of Diesel or even the contamination percentage. Still running a car that is already beginning to suffer the effect of fuel contamination will definitely result in more and more harm being caused to the fuel system.
  3. Are you looking for security?
You should get it drained. No matter the contamination percentage, there is inevitably some amount of risk linked with driving a Petrol motor on fuel contaminated with the incorrect fuel. Likely outcomes of driving on the wrong fuel normally include the engine not starting, running lumpy, loss in power, wearing of the high-pressure pump, worn out or clogged injectors, and so on. These are several of the most typical Diesel in Petrol signs and symptoms, and in the event that you observe any of them then cease driving and have it drained right away.
