Vauxhall Fuel Drain

ABOUT

Putting Diesel in a Petrol Vauxhall is a regular problem. And exactly what you have to do about it is based on several things. If perhaps you would like to find out what to do about this then read on.
These are the main factors to be aware of whenever deciding on whether or not to have a fuel drain:

  1. How much Diesel have you put in to the Vauxhall, taking into consideration that the fuel tank capacity of your Vauxhall Vectra is in most cases about 61 litres?
    1. A tiny quantity of Diesel, as little as 3.05 litres of Diesel in a Petrol Vectra will in most situations not be a big problem. Experience has proven to us that an amount under 3.05 litres (5% of the fuel tank) is frequently capable of being completely diluted by means of totally topping up the tank with Petrol.
It's quite uncommon to come across a motor vehicle experiencing problems with below 5% incorrect fuel contamination. Be aware that it is very infrequently found - in no way impossible to find. You will discover certain automobiles that won't stand any quantity of contamination whatsoever.
    2. Anywhere between 3.05 and 6.1 litres of Diesel in the Vauxhall (from 5 to 10%) is more of a 50/50 scenario. Our experience has shown us that as many people get away with this as all those who break down. Any time you are deciding whether to chance it and just top it up recognise that it is exactly like gambling all of it on black - you will have a 50/50 chance of it working.
    3. Anything above 6.1 litres of Diesel in your Petrol Vectra should really straightaway be removed because your probability of succeeding with that amount of contamination is certainly below one in 50 - extremely long odds.
  2. Put Diesel in a Petrol Vauxhall and drove it: Have you noticed any performance concerns ever since putting the wrong fuel in your Vectra? If you have, get it drained irrespective of the quantity of Diesel or even the contamination ratio. Continually driving an automobile that is currently beginning to suffer from the consequences of fuel contamination will definitely result in more and more harm affecting your fuel system components.
  3. Are you interested in peace of mind?
Simply get it drained. Regardless of the contamination percentage, there is invariably some amount of danger connected to driving a Petrol engine on fuel contaminated with the wrong fuel. Probable implications of driving on the wrong fuel include things like the engine not starting, running unevenly, reduced power, wearing of the high-pressure pump, worn out or blocked injectors, etc. These are a few of the most frequently seen Diesel in Petrol signs or symptoms, and should you observe any of them then stop and have it drained right now.

Refrain from having any untrained so-and-so to try to drain your automobile. We are Vauxhall experts and have got the certification and knowledge necessary to make certain you get back on the road with minimum hassle or worry.
