Volkswagen Fuel Drain

ABOUT

Filling Diesel in a Petrol Volkswagen is a regular problem. And its solution is dependent upon various things. If perhaps you want to know what you need to do to fix it then keep reading.
These are the most important variables to consider whenever deciding on whether to have the car drained:

  1. What amount of Diesel have you put in the Volkswagen, taking into account that the fuel capacity of the Volkswagen Fox is most likely about 50 litres?
    1. A modest quantity of Diesel, less than 2.5 litres of Diesel in a Petrol Fox will most of the time not necessarily be a significant problem. Experience has taught us that an amount under 2.5 litres (which is almost 5% of the entire fuel tank capacity) is oftentimes capable of being completely diluted by means of totally filling up the remainder of the tank with the correct fuel.
It's quite unusual to find a car experiencing problems with less than 5% incorrect fuel contamination. Bear in mind that it's unusual - in no way impossible to find. You can get some vehicles that will not stand any degree of fuel contamination in the slightest.
    2. In between 2.5 and 5 litres of Diesel in the Volkswagen (5 to 10%) is more of a 50/50 scenario. Our experience demonstrates that as many drivers get away with this as all those who break down. Any time you're trying to decide whether or not to risk it and just simply fill it up remember that it is much like wagering all of it on black - you have a 50/50 possibility of it working.
    3. Anything more than 5 litres of Diesel in a Petrol Fox should immediately be removed because your probability of succeeding with that quantity of contamination is certainly below one in fifty - truly huge odds.
  2. Put some Diesel in a Petrol Volkswagen and drove it: Have you spotted any performance difficulties since putting the incorrect fuel in your Fox? In that case, get it emptied no matter the volume of Diesel or even the contamination percentage. Continuing to run driving an automobile that is now starting to suffer from the effects of fuel contamination will only end up in even more harm being caused to the fuel system components.
  3. Do you want assurance?
In that case get it removed. Regardless of the contamination percentage, there is always some extent of threat resulting from running a Petrol vehicle on Petrol contaminated with Diesel. Probable implications of driving on the wrong fuel normally include the motor refusing to start, running lumpy, reduced power, wearing of the high-pressure pump, worn out or blocked injectors, and so forth. These are some of the most common Diesel in Petrol signs and symptoms, and should you recognise any of them stop and get it removed right now.

Refrain from having any unqualified mechanic to try to fix your car. We are Volkswagen experts and have the skills and practical experience necessary to make certain that you get back on the road with no hassle or worry.
