Hyundai Fuel Drain

ABOUT

Filling Petrol in a Diesel Hyundai is a very common error. And what you need to do about it varies according to a few things. Assuming you would like to know what to do about this then stay with me.
These are the most important factors to to consider whenever determining whether or not to have it drained:

  1. What amount of Petrol did you put in to the Hyundai, taking into account that the fuel capacity of your Hyundai H-1 Travel CRDi is usually roughly 75 litres?
    1. Hardly any Petrol, something like 3.75 litres of Petrol in a Diesel H-1 Travel CRDi will generally not be a huge problem. Experience has taught us that an amount under 3.75 litres (which is close to 5% of the total fuel tank capacity) is frequently able to be sufficiently diluted by means of wholly filling the rest of the tank with Diesel.
It is very rare to come across an automobile going through issues with under 5% wrong fuel contamination. Do not forget that it is infrequent - definitely not impossible to encounter. There are a few cars that won't stand any amount of fuel contamination in the slightest.
    2. In between 3.75 and 7.5 litres of Petrol in the Hyundai (from 5 to 10%) is really a 50/50 scenario. Our experience has revealed that as many drivers get away with this as those people who break down. When deciding upon whether or not to risk it and basically fill it up remember that it is just like gambling everything on black - you have a 50/50 possibility of it working.
    3. Anything above 7.5 litres of Petrol in a Diesel H-1 Travel CRDi really should straight away be drained since your likelihood of driving with that level of contamination is undoubtedly less than one in fifty - seriously big odds.
  2. Put some Petrol in a Diesel Hyundai and drove it: Have you observed any performance issues ever since putting the bad fuel in the H-1 Travel CRDi? If so, have it removed no matter the amount of Petrol or the contamination percentage. Continually driving an automobile that is beginning to suffer from the effects of wrong fuel contamination can definitely cause more and more harm affecting the fuel system.
  3. Are you looking for reassurance?
In that case get it removed. Regardless of contamination ratio, there is invariably some degree of threat connected with running a Diesel motor on Diesel contaminated with Petrol. Likely implications of driving on the wrong fuel include things like the motor refusing to start, running unevenly, decrease in power, degradation of the high-pressure pump, damaged or bunged injectors, and the like. These are a few of the most common Petrol in Diesel warning signs, and should you notice any of them then stop driving and get it removed as soon as possible.
