Peugeot Fuel Drain

ABOUT

Filling up with Petrol in a Diesel Peugeot is a very common mistake. And its solution depends upon several things. Assuming you would like to know what you must do to fix it then read on.
Let us discuss the most crucial factors to consider when figuring out whether or not to have a fuel drain:

  1. How much Petrol have you put into the Peugeot, taking into account that the fuel capacity of the Peugeot 807 Hdi is in most cases roughly 80 litres?
    1. A tiny amount of Petrol, something like 4 litres of Petrol in a Diesel 807 Hdi will more often than not not be a huge problem. Experience has proven to us that an amount under 4 litres (which is roughly 5% of the overall fuel tank capacity) is oftentimes able to be adequately diluted simply by thoroughly filling up the remainder of the tank with the right fuel.
It's extremely unusual to come across a car or truck suffering from difficulties because of below 5% wrong fuel contamination. Please remember it is very unusual - definitely not impossible to encounter. You can get certain vehicles that won't stand any level of fuel contamination at all.
    2. Anywhere between 4 and 8 litres of Petrol in the Peugeot (from 5 to 10%) is really a 50/50 scenario. Our working experience has confirmed that as many drivers get away with this as those people who don't. When figuring out whether to chance it and basically top it up consider that it is very much like wagering everything on black - you have got a 50/50 chance of it being ok.
    3. Anything in excess of 8 litres of Petrol in a Diesel 807 Hdi really should right away be removed seeing that your probability of succeeding with this quantity of contamination is undoubtedly lower than one in 50 - extremely big odds.
  2. Put some Petrol in a Diesel Peugeot and drove it: Have you observed any kind of performance concerns after putting the bad fuel in your 807 Hdi? In that case, get it removed regardless of the volume of Petrol or the contamination ratio. Continually driving a vehicle that is already starting to suffer the consequences of wrong fuel contamination will definitely cause more and more damage being done to the fuel system parts.
  3. Are you interested in peace of mind?
In that case get it drained. No matter the contamination percentage, there is invariably some degree of danger connected to running a Diesel vehicle on fuel contaminated with the wrong fuel. Possible outcomes of driving on the wrong fuel include the motor refusing to start, running lumpy, decrease in power, degradation of the high-pressure pump, damaged or bunged injectors, and so forth. These are a few of the most typical Petrol in Diesel symptoms, and if you notice any of them stop and get it drained immediately.

Don't simply have any unqualified so-and-so to attend your vehicle. We are Peugeot experts and hold the certification and experience needed to ensure you are back on the road with little hassle or trouble.
